Nap vs No-Nap: Compare Your Child's Sleep

Enter at least one nap day and one no-nap day to compare the days you observed. More representative days make the description more useful. Your entries stay in this page's memory and are cleared when you leave or reload; sleep values are not sent to analytics.

Compare the days you entered

Each row is one daytime period and the night that follows. Enter different days; no dates or names are needed.

What the comparison can tell you

It averages sleep onset separately for nap and no-nap days. Times after midnight are treated as part of the previous evening, so 11:30 PM and 12:30 AM average to midnight. Sleep onset entries are limited to 4 PM–before 6 AM for this toddler evening comparison.

How totals work

For each row with a next-morning wake, total logged sleep is the day's nap plus the following night, minus known waking minutes. Blank night waking duration means no deduction, not proof of an uninterrupted night. Each result shows how many rows support its total; different counts limit comparison.

Keep other differences in view

Averages can hide variation. Morning wakes, daycare routines and activity may differ between the groups. The days you entered show an association, not what a nap caused.

What to track for the next 7 days

  • Actual times for several nap and no-nap days
  • The next morning to complete each night
  • Setting and unusual days in your private Napnix notes
Keep tracking this automatically in Napnix

You log what happened. Napnix helps you compare days and notice patterns. Seven days starts the record; it does not promise a sleep improvement.
